A young Haitian man rises up in a final mournful wale as the crypt holding his mother is closed up once and for all with cement. His mother was killed during the November 1987 presidential elections in Haiti, the first after a 30-year dictatorship of the Duvalier Family finally fell. Haitians went to the polls to vote only to meet with violence from fires, bullets, machetes and threats, causing the elections to be cancelled.
