A multi-award winning sports photographer specialising in shooting action pictures for advertising, corporate and editorial clients.
During a career spanning the last thirty years, Bob photographed every major sporting event; from the last fifteen Summer and Winter Olympics, to Elephant Polo and Horse Racing on ice. His work has taken him to the farthest corners of the world, and his photographs have been published in numerous publications including Sports Illustrated, Time, Newsweek, Stern, Paris Match, Bunte, L’Equipe, The Sunday Times and The New York Times.
His photography has been recognised by more than 65 national and international awards. He is a three-time winner of the prestigious UK Sports Photographer of the Year also having won the World Press Photo Sports Picture in 2005 and the Sports Picture of the Year Three times in the USA along with the NPPA Sports Photographer of the Year award in 2017.
For over 10 years he has been head of photography for the Wimbledon Championships advising and helping on all matters concerning photography. He has been to every Olympics since Seoul in 1988, is regularly consulted by the IOC to advise on photography and has also helped FIFA and the IAAF. He worked with Rio 2016 as a consultant on planning for Photo Operations.
He is currently working with Tokyo on behalf of the IOC overseeing photo operations for Tokyo 2020
As Photography Chief for the London games, he and his team helped to control and direct the 1583 attending professional photographers and the images that they produced. The London Olympics was considered by the IOC Media Operations Director to be the best ever for photography.
